The Chord CPM 2800 digital integrated amplifier is a further advancement in our range of successful
integrated products. The CPM2800 includes additional digital functionality so direct and wireless
connection of both digital and analogue source components can be accommodated. Based on our
advanced amplifier and preamplifier technologies the CPM2800 is enhanced with a coax, optical and
USB digital connection and our unique digital bluetooth wireless system.
Wireless connectivity gives the ultimate in freedom so that phones, digital assistants and personal
computers can transmit high quality audio using the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution profile
without the need to run cables. The CPM2800 includes our custom designed Bluetooth receiver that
allows the extraction and decryption of digital audio information and this along with the other digital
inputs is input directly into a high quality digital to analogue converter. The bluetooth connection uses
a very simple pairing procedure and with a range of up to 30 meters it can be used anywhere in the
home.
The USB port can be connected to a personal computer and will seamlessly appear as an audio device
by the operating system. Any music played on the computer will be digitally decoded and then
converted to a HiFi quality signal for playback.
Selection and control of both digital and analogue inputs is via an easy to use front panel interface or
remote control and the large display can easily be seen across a room.
Power is provided by our tried and tested technology of ultra high frequency low ESR power supply.
This has the ability to store energy far more efficiently than conventional designs. This gives the
amplifier section enormous reserves of instantly delivered, precisely controlled power which is more
than capable of controlling even the most demanding loudspeakers.
Finally for home cinema compatibility an AV Bypass input is incorporated so that the CPM2800 can
be used in conjunction with an AV Processor without the need for a separate amplifier.
